Lick Lick ICK!!!

I swear Desmond does something totally new and out the ordinary every week! Desi and I get home from a long day at daycare and work. We get settled in and wait for Daddy to get home. This is normal. It starts to get strange when Desi starts licking our glass door! What?! Where did this come from? He then proceeds to run into the living room. He gets his step stool and pushes it up to the TV stand and begins to lick the TV. "Desi! What are you doing? Stop!" I shout out, but I can't hold back the laughter. He says, "lickin da Tee Wee Mommy!" I am cracking up at this point. "Desi, don't lick that TV! It's dirty!" I say through my laughter.  "No Mommy! Tee Wee!"

This boy is going to be 2 next Monday (6 years old according to him). I guess this is apart of that world. I have no clue! LOL! My child is too funny. 

What weird and interesting things have your children done? I can't wait to hear from the Motherhood!

It was a cold and snowy Thursday morning. My icy cold hands fought to get Desi buckled up in his car seat. I gave him a kiss and headed over to my driver's side. It's Bedtime!

I love the bedtime routine we have set out for Desi. He gets his bath and a good rub down. We say a prayer with daddy and we read 2 books. The first book is always "My Book of Bible Stories" and the second book is "The Snuggliest Snuggle in the World." I bought the second book for Desi when I was 3 months pregnant and I just knew and felt that it was going to be his favorite book. Mommy's intuition did not steer her wrong! He loves the book! He really gets into the voices I make for each character, we point out colors and animals. He will turn the page and when the story is over I say, "The end. Okay close the book Desi." He will, then, close the book. I tell him night night and we go over to the light switch. I tell him to turn the light off and he turns the light off. Food War (Part Deux): Silent Treatment

Thank you all for the suggestions regarding Desi's dinner time. Your comments and what I've been reading online have really helped me calm down. Tonight, I approached dinner with ease. I made something I knew he would eat--fish sticks and tater tots. I added some succotash and cornbread. I set the plate down and we prayed over the food and I didn't say a word after that. He dove into the fish sticks and tater tots. He played in the succotash and didn't even eat the cornbread, but that's alright because he ate something. I gave him a cheese stick and strawberries after dinner. I praised him for eating and once again, did not stress over what he didn't eat. I was less stressed and so was he. I think that makes for a successful evening at the table! Is this war over? Only time will tell. You all may find interest in www.parenting.com .
