Sing Your Heart Out

OMG!!! This video is hilarious! My son is tearing up this Bruno Mars song. Yeah, I cringed every time "your sex takes me to paradise" part came up. I wish I could have blurred that out for him, but it was funny nonetheless (please don't judge me - I've already done it). Okay, here it is: On that note...Night Night!

Deep Conversation

I have these wonderful conversations with Desi everyday when we are riding home. He gives me the low down on what he did at daycare, we talk about cars, beautiful sunny days, and anything else that we care to talk about. He knows how to worry me, but I couldn't see myself without my little back seat talker. Take a look at the vid. I had to record baby boy because he was very entertaining. Check it out: I so cherish these moments! And I am so glad that I can catch it all on video. Unfortunately, it may be used as black mail when Desi gets older and he's trying to woo the ladies! LOL! Nigh Night!

Our Weekend

My husband's family reunion was this weekend. We had a great time and Desi enjoyed being with his cousins. We visited a few places. Here are some photos I took:  (On the "school bus" with Gi Gi and Pop Pop)  (We were pressed bc Desi was sitting with his grandparents. We had our seats to ourselves!)  (MLK)  (Prehistoric Encounter)  (In a bubble)  (Aerospace Museum - Desi loves planes!)  (Desi was definitely in his element. He loves outer space anything)  (Science project) Omg, we had so much fun! I would have posted the pics from the family reunion, but I did not get permission from anyone to post their pics. I am pretty old-fashioned when it comes to things like that. Anyway, you get it. Night Night!!!

Love: According to Desmond

Talk about beautiful moments...my son and I were relaxing on the couch. He reached over, gave me a hug and said "I love you mommy...I love your heart." O to the M to the G!! My heart literally melted into the cushion of the couch. Of course I returned the love, but I was wondering how did he think to say that? I have never said those words in that way (although I wish I had because it was so poetic) and my hubby said he never said it that way either. The only thing I can think of are the times I've said "You have my heart" to Desi. Whatever the case, he thought of it himself and expressed it in such a beautiful way. So these are all the hearts he loves (the ones he vocalizes): "I love Mommy's heart" "I love Daddy's heart" "I love Tyson's (our dog) heart"  "I love Pop Pop's heart" "I love Gi Gi's heart" "I love Ma Ma's heart" "I love ice cream heart"

Cry baby

Please look at this video from this morning. My son was trying it. He tried to find every reason to cry. I was too through.  So he "cried" for a good 30 mins. I finally had enough. I turned my radio down and I told him that he needed to quit the crying. I told him there is nothing to cry about and nothing is wrong with him. He can't have the crackers and if he didn't want the goldfish sitting in his lap, I would be happy to take them from him. I let him know that he was being disrespectful and I didn't appreciate it. I didn't yell when I said this, but I did raise my voice so that the point could be made, sealed and delivered. The results? He stopped crying and said "sorry mommy, I eat da gol fish." Ha! Baby boy thought he was gonna break mommy down. I don't think so! LOL! Okay now, the video below was from yesterday morning. Such a stark contrast. Desi didn't give me any problems and he was such a gentleman. Take a look:

Fruton Chronicles

My son is an alien and he lives in space. Where in space? I do not know. He is unable to tell me because it seems that he is limited in vocabulary. He tells me his name is Fruton and he has a box for a spaceship. He is fascinated with his home and talks about often. We pass by an opening on our way to daycare and he points to a spaceship (I never see this object) that seems to be hovering over that barren area. Maybe people from space can see it. I'm an earthling, so I'm not sure. Fruton uses a suction tube from the vaccum to fight off evil space aliens. So, from what I can gather, he may be an alien superhero. To be continued..... Night night!

Poop Catcher

Hello!! I've been gone for a while, but for good reason. I was studying for my state exam for my insurance license. I passed! I am now licensed to write and sell auto and home policies. Woo hoo! So I got my life back. Hubby was so great during this time. He took care of everything and supported me tremendously. Now, Desi was supportive as well. He would join in on my studies. "Want to study with chew mommy," he would say. When I passed, he said "Good job mommy! So proud of you!" (of course daddy coached him). It just warmed my heart. Anyway,  I have to share this hilarious story with you all. One night, earlier last week, we are trying to get Desi to poop in the toilet.  He just refused to sit his little butt down on the seat. We knew he had to poop, so we really wanted him to get on the toilet. My husband was speaking with his mother on the phone and she heard the commotion. She suggested that we just let him go pamperless for the night before going to bed. T

Contradiction and Admission

Okay, so I have been MIA for a little because I am studying hard to obtain my license to become an Insurance Agent. Yes, I have moved on from my transitional job and accepted a wonderful opportunity. Thanks to Jehovah!  Anyway, this is a video from the weekend. I had a contradictory moment. Oh! Excuse my video. It's all kinds of crazy. I did not go to school for cinematography. That is clearly evident. You will be entertained though.  Night Night!
